14 days of Prayer & Fasting —

Join us — January 13th-26th for a Fourteen Day, Church-wide fast.

WHY WE PRAY:
Prayer is our first response. Real relationships require real intimacy, and prayer is where that intimacy with God begins. Through prayer, we draw near to God, aligning our hearts with His will and unlocking the power of the holy spirit. It’s the language of our faith; it brings vision to the unseen and produces the peace and strength we need in every moment.

WHY WE FAST:
Fasting, as taught in the Bible, is willingly abstaining from food to seek God.
It intentionally creates space for us to grow closer to Him, align our hearts with His, and depend on His strength over our own. Modeled by Jesus, fasting is a spiritual discipline focused on intentionality—inviting God into our daily lives and the spaces we create and find ourselves in. Whether we’re at work, at home, or anywhere in between, through fasting we can amplify our prayers and experience deeper intimacy with Him.
"I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over."  Daniel 10:3

Fasting Breakdown

Complete Fast:

Abstaining from all food for a specific period of time, such as from 3PM - 12PM the following day (eating only in the 12p - 3p window of your day), or abstaining from all food for several days.

Partial Fast:

Partial + Meal-Specific Fast: Choosing to skip a particular meal, like breakfast or dinner, to focus on prayer and seeking God.

This can also include:
- The Daniel Fast, which consists of only eating vegetables, fruits, whole grains, natural foods and natural sweeteners
- Liquid Fast, which may consist of only water, fruit juice, vegetable juice, broth, etc.

Abstaining:

While fasting refers to going without food, abstaining involves temporarily giving up other things—like TV, social media, or specific activities—to remove distractions and focus on God. These practices can complement fasting.
